I was making my way through Lumbridge, when I saw a new player talking to an NPC. Except he literally was talking to it, through public chat. I went over to him and asked if he needed any help, to which he replied (I corrected his bad spelling), "Why isn't this guy talking to me?" I told him that it was an NPC and that you had to click on it to talk. But gave him the help he wanted (he wanted to do Sheep Shearer and Cook's Assistant)
